This is the 19th Season the Sea Dogs have been playing baseball in Portland as part of the Eastern League. They began in 1994 as the AA affiliate of the Florida Marlins. In 2003 they became a Red Sox affiliate. Dan Burke was the principle owner until his passing in October of 2011. Dan meant an awful lot to so many people involved with the Sea Dogs over the years, and now his son Bill is following in his footsteps.
